Pray for the World

Hello World!
In light of the recent turmoil, natural disasters, there seems to be a tendency to pray more. It is good to pray, however let's not start praying, when things go bad. Make it a habit of continually praying to God.

We need to continually pray for the people God has placed in high positions, it pleases God. I leave you with these verses:

1 Timothy 2:1-4   I urge, then, first of all, that requests, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for everyone--  2 for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness.  3 This is good, and pleases God our Savior,  4 who wants all men to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth.

Jeremiah 29:7  "Also, seek the peace and prosperity of the city to which I have carried you into exile. Pray to the LORD for it, because if it prospers, you too will prosper."

The 10-40 Window

Hello World!!!

The above mentioned countries form the 10-40 window. They are between 10 and 40 degrees north of the eqautor. It's called a window, because of the opportunity there is to share the gospel.

Matthew 9:37-38  Then he said to his disciples, "The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few.  38 Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field."

I Love You, Yes YOU!!!

Hello World!!!

It's been a while since I last updated my blog, but I'm back :).

Since Valentine's day is around the corner, I thought it would be a good idea to write something about this "important" date.
A typical/productive Valentine's day involves expressing your love to the one you love, or receiving an "I Love You" message from the one you "secretly" admire.

What is the depth of I Love You? What does Love mean?
"to have strong feelings of affection for another adult and be romantically and sexually attracted to them, or to feel great affection for a friend or person in your family" CALD
That's not how I would define love.

John 15:13  Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends
1 John 4:9 This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him.
Would you love to that extend? If you can't, you don't know what love is. Once you know the price that God paid for you, by dying for you, on the cross, this real LOVE will start making sense.

GOD loves You, YES YOU!!!

I close with this:
Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends

Merry Christmas!!!

Hello World, Merry Christmas!!!

I want to wish you all a Merry Christmas.

Christmas is not just about the birth of Jesus Christ, but also start of something. An eternal chance, new hope, new life for all of us. Through Christ we are able to have an eternal life, we have a glorious future ahead of us, we can start our life on a clean sheet.

Just a parting verse, that summarizes it:
Matthew 9:12-13 On hearing this, Jesus said, "It is not the wealthy who need a doctor, but the sick. But go and learn what this means:'I desire mercy, not sacrifice, 'For I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners

The Colors of the Rainbow so pretty in the sky

Hello World!

As you may have noticed, there is no pot of gold at this end of the rainbow :(.

But the significance of the rainbow is a worth a whole lot more, than the pot of gold. The rainbow is a sign and a reminder that the whole earth, won't be flooded again. This unbreakable promise was made thousands of years ago, to be precise.

God made this promise, with Noah, and everyone else who can see the rainbow, so pretty in the sky.

The Earth as we know it...

I tried to give an example of what the earth looks like in space. No software can do this great planet justice, by trying to simulate it.
No software can fit 6 billion people in this planet.
No software can change seasons.
No software can provide a place to live, for the animals.
And the list goes on.
What a marvelous planet.
A design tells you a lot about it's designer. A marvelous Earth, tells you a lot about it's marvelous Creator.
